Thank you for choosing The Hole San Diego as your venue. Here are the terms and conditions for any event held at the bar. These will help us work together to ensure your event runs smoothly and foster a relationship based on care, consideration, and mutual respect.
Background
We are a liquor-only dive bar for individuals over 21. Musicians aged 18 and over may perform but must have identifiable wristbands and be known to our security and bar staff before the event starts.
Before Your Event
Promotion and advertising are the promoter's responsibility. Collaboration with The Hole San Diego for social media promotion is appreciated and in both parties' interest. Please tag us (@theholesd) and refrain from using our former name, The Hole in the Wall. This collaboration helps us replicate events across all platforms.
If this is your first event with us, a security deposit may be required based on the event's size and equipment needs. The Events Manager will evaluate this at booking. We also require the anticipated number of patrons at booking, one week prior and 24 hours before the event.
Setup for Your Event
Please specify in your contract if you need access before our business hours (typically 4 pm). Standard setup times are within 6 hours before your event. Additional time may incur a labor cost added to your deposit.
Promoters must install all decorations and equipment safely without fire hazards and should not cause lasting damage to the venue. Artists must bring their equipment, including X.L.R. cords and cables (like U.C.S.B., C, and lighting cords). We can provide speakers and a subwoofer, but any damage due to negligence or theft will incurr a fee, and promoters will be held liable.
If sound engineers or technical expertise are needed on-site, the promoter is responsible for both the financial and logistical aspects. They can reach out to the Management Team at hello@theholesandiego.com or 619.996.9000 for assistance.
The setup and breakdown of equipment, vendors, or performers are your responsibility. Communicate any specific needs during the setup phase. All equipment should be neatly broken down, and a final walk-through with the manager is required to ensure nothing is missing.
Your staff/performers will need to be identified upon entry and will wear wristbands for discounted drink eligibility. Addendum A includes the bar's asset list, and all assets must be checked out and returned. Non-returned assets will incur a replacement cost.
During Your Event
Event hosts are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Drug use, fighting, or any actions jeopardizing the business are strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to cancel the event if any members act improperly. Refunds for canceled events due to misconduct will not be provided.
The Hole San Diego will ensure adequate staffing for safety and service. Timely ticket sales and RSVP notifications are critical. Event hosts are responsible for ticket collection and having cash on hand for change.
Music volumes must be reduced by 10 PM and will be monitored to avoid complaints. Music should cease by 1:45 AM, and can be moved indoors if necessary.
Drink Tickets
Drink tickets will be provided at the bar's discretion based on ticket sales and event success. Our standard is one $5 drink ticket per ten tickets sold. The promoter or event staff may open a tab, but we cannot guarantee tickets or discounts for every attendee, as our profit relies on drink sales that support our venue and community.
Photography and videography consent clause
By entering The Hole San Diego establishment premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording, and the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, and inclusion on websites and social media. Images, photos, and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future. You release the private and public event for visited dates, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from
any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, and/or sound recordings.
