TERMS & CONDITIIONS

Thank you for choosing The Hole San Diego for your venue. These are the terms and conditions for any event held at the bar.  This will allow us to work with you to ensure that the event runs as smoothly as possible.

We are a liquor-only dive bar for people over 21. Musicians over 18 can be present during your performance but must have an identifiable wristband and be known to security and bar staff before the event commences.  Before your event, promotion is the promoter's responsibility.  Promotion and social media should be done in concert with The Hole San Diego.  Please tag posts to The Hole San Diego (@theholesd) formerly The Hole in the Wall. This will allow collaboration so that we may replicate these events on all of our platforms.

 

If this is your first time, depending on the size of the event and your equipment needs, we may require a security deposit in advance of booking. The events manager will determine this at the time of booking. We will require the anticipated number of patrons at the time of booking, one week before booking, and 24 hours before the event date. Refreshments: No outside drinks are permitted in the bar in compliance with the California Alcohol Beverage Control (hereafter known as CA-ABC). 

 

Filtered water is available for your entire team.  If you have any questions, you may speak to any staff member.  In compliance with CA-ABC, we are not permitted to give away free alcoholic drinks; therefore, your team may purchase any well or soft drink for $5.00.  Call or top-shelf beverages are available at a discounted price—setup for your event. If you need access before our business hours (typically 4 pm any day), please note on your contract what time you will need to access the premises for set up and how long you will require access. Standard setup times are within 6 hours of the commencement of your event. All decorations, equipment, and décor must be installed safely, not producing fire or safety hazards.  It is the promoters responsibility that the equipment is broken down and taken home the evening of the event. Ask a member of staff to store the equipment. 

 

Treat our equipment professionally—no use of mounting devices that cause lasting damage to the venue. All cables and chords that The Hole San Diego owns must be unplugged and wrapped professionally. Any inventory items missing the promoter will be responsible for. We are a dive bar and, as such, do not have sound engineers or technical expertise on-site. If your event requires this, you will need to source it yourself. They can liaise with the Events Manager at clr@theholesandiego.com or at the bar phone at 619.996.9000 to answer any questions you may have. During your event hosts are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Drug use, fighting, or anything that puts the business in jeopardy is strictly forbidden. We reserve the right to cancel at any time if members of the event put our business at risk or if police arrive and shut us down. The Hole in San Diego is not responsible for any event refunds for canceled events. The Hole San Diego responsible for staffing the bar appropriately to ensure adequate safety and service for the patrons and staff.  gets service in a reasonable amount of time. Timely notification of ticket sales/RSVP is critical. It is the event hosts’ responsibility to collect tickets and payment for cover charges. It is also their responsibility to bring a cash bank to create change for ticket purchasers. Outside music volumes must be reduced at 10pm and are monitored throughout the night by security staff to avoid any unnecessary complaints or closures. Music may be moved indoors at any time that is feasible for weather or noise conditions.  Music should cease by 1:45am.

 

Photography and videography consent clause by entering The Hole San Diego establishment premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media. Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future, you release the private and public event for visited dates, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings. By entering The Hole business establishment, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by photographers or the person or entity designated by promoter’s event. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
